Responsibilities

  • The Engineering Systems Competency Centre (ESCC) have a vacancy for a Business Analyst Associate. The successful candidate will respond to business needs raised by the Engineering function, by documenting the business situation, the requirements, the proposed solution recommended by the System Design Authority and the associated costs.

    What you'll be doing:

    • The Engineering Systems Competency Centre (ESCC) have a vacancy for a Business Analyst Associate. The successful candidate will respond to business needs raised by the Engineering function, by documenting the business situation, the requirements, the proposed solution recommended by the System Design Authority and the associated costs.
    • Typical activities include:
    • Investigate business situations where there is some complexity and ambiguity, adopting a holistic view to identify and analyse problems and opportunities
    • Contribute to the selection of the approach and techniques to be used for business situation analysis, engaging and collaborating with operational stakeholders
    • Defines and manages scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation activities for initiatives of medium size and complexity
    • Facilitates input from stakeholders, provides constructive challenge and enables effective prioritisation of requirements
    • Your skills and experiences:

    Essential:

    • Communicates fluently, orally and in writing, and can present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences when engaging with colleagues, users/customers, suppliers and partners
    • Have demonstrable experience of leading successful business analysis activities
    • A proven track record in building and maintaining relationships with a wide range of stakeholders

    Desirable:

    • Industry recognised qualifications such as British Computer Society's International Diploma in Business Analysis, Prince2, ITIL certification
    • Familiarity with engineering toolsets, such as Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Computer Aided Design (CAD), and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

This is an exciting and challenging role, which will present the opportunity to contribute towards the delivery of Engineering IT solutions for the world's most advanced military aircraft
