  • Take a lead role in supporting the delivery and management of client engagements, working closely with more senior members of the Conduct & Prudential team.
  • You will have experience in compliance, controls and/or risk management, ideally in the Insurance industry, and you will be proactive in building expertise in response to changes in the market and regulatory focus areas.
  • You will be quick in developing an advanced understanding of your clients' business needs and key risks and you will be responsible for creating and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring that we are adding value to clients' businesses and that the relationships we create outlast the individual projects.
  • Another key aspect to the role is practice management, including preparing budgets, resourcing and client billing, and proactively engaging with the wider activities of the team.

    We are looking for a Assistant Manager (experience dependent) to join the Insurance part of the Conduct & Prudential Insurance team within Regulatory Assurance to support the governance, risk and compliance work we do with firms across the General Insurance industry.

    The successful candidate will:

    • Take a lead role in supporting the delivery and management of client engagements, working closely with more senior members of the Conduct & Prudential team.
    • You will have experience in compliance, controls and/or risk management, ideally in the Insurance industry, and you will be proactive in building expertise in response to changes in the market and regulatory focus areas.
    • You will be quick in developing an advanced understanding of your clients' business needs and key risks and you will be responsible for creating and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring that we are adding value to clients' businesses and that the relationships we create outlast the individual projects.
    • Another key aspect to the role is practice management, including preparing budgets, resourcing and client billing, and proactively engaging with the wider activities of the team.

    To qualify for this opportunity, candidates will need the following professional experience:

    • Prior experience in a Compliance / Risk Management / Internal Audit / Controls role or relevant experience from another professional services firm (e.g., External Audit)
    • Insurance industry background preferred
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – both written and verbal
    • Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills, ability to multi-task and demonstrate flexible thinking
    • Aptitude with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Confident client presence and ability to build contacts and develop relationships
    • Ability to develop effective working relationships internally and with clients
    • Positive and ambitious attitude, and ability to work on own initiative
    • Educated to degree level or equivalent
