Responsibilities

  • Taking a cross-functional view of the programme, working across the enterprise to promote and realising the benefits that prototypes can bring to de-risk the design and build
  • Developing scopes of SSNA prototypes, working between the SSNA design/build/SDA teams and the production/C19 facilities
  • Executing defined prototypes, engaging interested stakeholders with regular updates and result
  • Ordering prototype materials
  • Regular cross-programme engagement of prototype capabilities and identification of new opportunities, including review of programme risks where prototypes may provide mitigation
  • Undertaking associated SSNA prototype CAM responsibilities (labour and material spend, EAC, etc)

Contract

40 hours per week

    Salary: Starting from £43,373 – depending on skills and experience

    What you'll be doing:

    • Taking a cross-functional view of the programme, working across the enterprise to promote and realising the benefits that prototypes can bring to de-risk the design and build

    Your skills and experiences:

    Essential:

    • Project Management experience, including scheduling, budget, quality and risk management
    • Experience leading a team
    • Demonstrable experience in stakeholder management, particularly influencing stakeholder decisions

    Desirable:

    • Recognised Project Management qualification e.g. APMQ or Prince2

    The SSNA Prototypes and Mock-ups team:

    This is a great opportunity to join a growing team. You will gain complete visibility of the project lifecycle (from conception to build and design) of the SSNA world-class Submarine.
