Our client, a vertically integrated cannabis operator, is seeking a Wholesale Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and selling bulk flower coming from the cultivation facility near Boston, MA.

Reporting to the Distribution Manager, this role will work closely with cultivation, packaging, and distribution teams to develop and implement a B2B wholesale strategy to include managing clients, closing the sale, and understanding the nuances of the cannabis market.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identifying and contacting potential business partners, vendors, and suppliers
  • Reach out to potential clients through cold calling and events to develop relationships
  • Selling wholesale white labeled branded products to retail shops
  • Establishing new and existing long-term business relationships
  • Deliver a compelling sales presentation for each client
  • Bet the primary contact for all areas of the clients business
  • Maintain dynamic pricing models based on quality and potency
  • Negotiating contract terms and conditions with business partners and vendors
  • Developing and achieving sales objectives
  • Reviewing sales figures and performances
  • Analyzing and developing strategies to maximize sales


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field
  • At least 3-5 years in the cannabis or alcohol beverage industry
  • A current book of business in the State of Massachusetts
  • Proven success closing the sale and moving product
  • Experience building and managing a successful wholesale sales rapport with customers
  • Hardworking, friendly positive attitude interacting with multiple departments and customers
  • History of setting and driving strategic sales initiatives in a start-up, fast-paced environment
  • Experience with distributor management and contract/vendor negotiations
  • Strong negotiation skills while being engaging and persuasive
  • Ability to work independently in a highly organized manner with limited direction


COMPENSATION: $70,000-75,000 DOE plus commission, mileage, laptop and benefits
