Responsibilities

  • Understands how to convert end-user business requirements into solution functionality

  • You will partner with IT to configure, test and enhance Anaplan data integrations and serve as liaison between IT and the business
  • You will create and maintain model documentation
  • You will utilize current best practices for managing the Anaplan Data Hub and Data integrations for all Anaplan data sources
  • You will research technical processes and resolve any issues
  • You will develop data repositories to facilitate standard and ad-hoc reporting and analysis

Contract

40 hours per week

As the Advanced Anaplan Model Builder on the North American Incentive Compensation Team, you will serve as our lead Anaplan developer and work closely with your team members in North America and globally to develop and enhance the system. This includes leading and executing on all project phases including planning, design, build, test, and deployment. This is a hands-on position, which requires extensive understanding and application of Anaplan best practices, model schemas, model optimizations, and system integrations. The ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys solving complex business needs with the ability to focus on the details while being mindful of the big picture. This role is an excellent opportunity to join a strategic team and begin building the foundation for an Anaplan COE.

In This Role

  • You will lead efforts to design, develop, enhance, maintain, and ensure the accuracy of Anaplan models and dashboards to support IDEXX’s Sales Incentive Compensation Programs
  • You will oversee internal and external resources in model build and maintenance activities
  • You will ensure all model builds are performed utilizing best practices
  • You will collaborate with peers and stakeholders to translate existing solutions, spreadsheets, and new business needs into sophisticated, automated Anaplan multi-dimensional models
  • You will research technical processes and resolve any issues
  • You will create and maintain model documentation
  • You will manage cutovers in dev/test/prod environments and testing activities to ensure calculation accuracy
  • You will stay abreast of latest Anaplan and related systems functionalities as well as industry best practices on data modelling, planning, and process definition. Identify implications and opportunities for our current Models
  • You will develop recommendations for roadmaps and implementation plans
  • You will modify existing models to optimize or to incorporate new functionality
  • You will develop data repositories to facilitate standard and ad-hoc reporting and analysis
  • You will periodically conduct QA to ensure the model is optimized and maintainable in the long run.
  • You will utilize current best practices for managing the Anaplan Data Hub and Data integrations for all Anaplan data sources
  • You will partner with IT to configure, test and enhance Anaplan data integrations and serve as liaison between IT and the business

What You Need To Succeed

  • Level 3 Model builder with 2+ years of experience preferred. Master Anaplanner certification a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in sales operations, role supporting a sales organization or implementing sales incentive projects a plus
  • Analytical problem solver who is intellectually curious, learns quickly and is excited by using technology to improve business processes
  • Understands how to convert end-user business requirements into solution functionality
  • Organized, focused, self-directed, and innovative, e.g. able to design a modeling solution without explicit direction
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • A business, engineering or IT related bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent communicator with ability to explain complex concepts simply to various stakeholders
  • Familiarity with data integration scripting concepts and ETL technologies preferred
