Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Facilities Assistant

Our Facilities Maintenance team is seeking a dedicated professional to help us maintain the appearance and condition of our site. As part of this essential crew, you'll assist with various planned and reactive tasks, repairs, and day-to-day responsibilities, ensuring a well-maintained, clean, and compliant environment. This role involves indoor and outdoor duties, occasionally in challenging weather conditions, and will require the use of plant, machinery, hand, and power tools.

Salary: £24,000 - £26,000

Location: Waterbeach, Cambridge, CB25

Working hours: 7am till 4pm

Role Responsibilities

  • Cleaning building facades
  • Maintaining site roads, pathways, parking, signage, and more
  • Assisting in emergency situations with traffic control
  • Moving furniture, equipment, materials, and stock as needed
  • Conducting basic maintenance tasks and reporting defects to the Team Leader
  • Completing minor repairs as requested and required
  • Adhering to safe working methods and using appropriate safety gear
