  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments of plumbing systems to identify potential issues or areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with other members of the facilities management team on larger projects requiring expertise in plumbing installations or upgrades

Candidate requirements

  • Experience in diagnosing/troubleshooting complex issues involving pumps/pressurized water tanks/water treatment plants would be advantageous but not essential
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Plumber or similar role within facilities management
  • Demonstrable ability to read technical drawings/blueprints relevant to commercial buildings' plumbing systems would be advantageous but not essential
  • In-depth knowledge of various types of pipes/metal/plastic materials used in commercial settings along with associated fittings/fixtures/valves

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Plumber to join our facilities management team at our static location in Brentford. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining plumbing systems and equipment across our premises, ensuring their efficient operation and adherence to safety standards. This is a vital role within our organization, ensuring the smooth running of all plumbing-related activities while contributing to the overall maintenance of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments of plumbing systems to identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
  • Install, repair, and maintain all aspects of the plumbing system including pipes, fixtures, drains, valves, toilets, sinks, water heaters etc.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning drains and gutters to prevent blockages or leaks.
  • Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies or service requests; troubleshoot problems accurately; provide effective solutions within established timelines.
  • Collaborate with other members of the facilities management team on larger projects requiring expertise in plumbing installations or upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to plumbing work; implement necessary precautions during repairs/maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor inventory levels of necessary tools/parts related to the role; liaise with procurement for timely replenishment when required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Plumber or similar role within facilities management.
  • Valid Plumbing License is essential (City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2).
  • In-depth knowledge of various types of pipes/metal/plastic materials used in commercial settings along with associated fittings/fixtures/valves etc.
  • Demonstrable ability to read technical drawings/blueprints relevant to commercial buildings' plumbing systems would be advantageous but not essential.

Working Environment:

The role is based at our static location in Brentford where you will primarily operate from well-equipped.
