  • Handle all aspects of workers' compensation litigation and making appearances at the WCAB
  • Develop strategies leading to efficient resolution of cases
  • Specializes in representing employers, insurance companies, or third-party administrators in workers' compensation cases
  • Provide legal counsel and representation to employers, insurance companies, or third-party administrators in workers' compensation cases
  • Prepare and file legal documents, including responses to workers' compensation claims, with the appropriate administrative bodies and courts
  • Ensure that all required paperwork is accurate, complete, and filed within statutory deadlines

Contract

40 hours per week

Candidate requirements

  • Must have experience in Hearing, Trial, Deposition and mediation
  • One year workers' compensation or Insurance Defense experience preferred
  • Experience in legal research, draft pleadings and reports

Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney Job Responsibilities

  • Must have experience in Hearing, Trial, Deposition and mediation.
  • Must meet 180-225 Monthly billable hours.
  • Specializes in representing employers, insurance companies, or third-party administrators in workers' compensation cases.
  • Negotiation, settlement as well as liens experience.
  • Provide legal counsel and representation to employers, insurance companies, or third-party administrators in workers' compensation cases.
  • Advise clients on their rights and responsibilities under California's workers' compensation laws.
  • Develop strategies leading to efficient resolution of cases
  • Experience in legal research, draft pleadings and reports.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, including responses to workers' compensation claims, with the appropriate administrative bodies and courts.
  • Ensure that all required paperwork is accurate, complete, and filed within statutory deadlines.
  • Handle all aspects of workers' compensation litigation and making appearances at the WCAB

Qualifications

  • One year workers' compensation or Insurance Defense experience preferred
  • Valid CA Bar License

Experience: at least 1 year

Job Type: Fulltime- Onsite/Hybrid (Possibly Remote after probation period)
