Job Description
The North America Money Movement team builds the systems that underpin all of USD and CAD transfers at Wise. The team builds scalable systems to integrate with our partners with a continuous focus on reducing risk, improving resilience and overall system health. We work closely with banking and payment operations teams to automate their manual workflows.

Qualifications
A bit about you:
- You’re passionate about helping others and keen to roll up your sleeves and take ownership to drive company-wide impact
- A strong product mindset, you prioritise work with the customers in mind and make data-driven decisions
- Sense of ownership and great communication skills to drive projects across teams
- You have solid Java or Kotlin knowledge, experience with Spring framework and microservice best practices
- You believe in and follow best coding practices, code reviews and open feedback
- You mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering their professional development and ensuring high-quality code standards across the team
- You enjoy writing testable code and believe in Test Driven Development
- Experience working with relational databases, query optimisation and designing schemas
- You have strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex and technical concepts across multiple teams
- You’re willing to travel and interested in working with and learning from our Engineers across our global offices
- You’re excited to work in a disruptive, fast-growing and fun environment
Some Extra Skills That Would Be Great To Have
- You’ve worked with large distributed systems
- Experience with Kubernetes is a plus
