Empire is seeking a highly-motivated experiential & Events Designer to develop overall creative, graphics, presentations, decor and branding for events and installations across multiple client types and mediums.


In this creative position you will develop overall project creative design direction, create mood boards, renderings, Vectorworks layouts, signage, event decor and collateral design. In addition, the candidate will support creative directors and production designers and supervise external vendors including printers and fabricators in the execution of creative designs.


The ability to create original, innovative designs in a wide range of styles is critical. Experience in event production, video/digital production or scenic fabrication is a plus.


Responsibilities


  • Create and manage client-ready presentation decks featuring design/creative work: mood boards, floor plans, renderings, mockups, graphics, decor selection, and various other project-related creative deliverables
  • Support creative directors and production designers with event design/scenic renderings, visual depictions of event themes, décor and production concepts
  • Design original event signage and collateral including invitations, social media assets, signage and branded installations, screen graphics, animations and interface & platforms 
  • The Designer must be able to collaborate with producers, other creative team members, as well as with executive leadership, clients and vendors 
  • The Designer will also play an active, hands on role in the planning, pre-production and onsite execution of all creative designs. 


 Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years professional experience in design
  • Strong portfolio of creative work featuring executed designs and projects
  • Understanding of event production, scenic fabrication, video production, and technical production
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written., including delivering presentations.
  • Ability to take initiative, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced and often challenging environment
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Thorough knowledge of SketchUp and Vectorworks, and Cinema 4D experience a plus


Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience. Salary range is typical $70,000 - $80,000
