I am actively seeking a skilled SER Certified Structural Engineer to join a busy, successful Multidisciplinary Construction Consultancy based in Middlesbrough. As a SER Certified Structural Engineer, you will assist in managing one of their busiest structural teams where you will have opportunity to produce detailed designs for various structural engineering projects, such as industrial, residential, education, commercial, and leisure venues.

The successful applicant will ideally be someone who has significant experience in structural design (reinforced concrete, timber and masonry), as well as having exceptional communication skills (verbal and written). Preferably the candidate will clear understanding of UK Building Regulations as well as being familiar with NHBC standards.

It is essential for the candidate to have a professional and commercial viewpoint through having the following:

To be a Chartered Engineer and Member of either Institution of Civil Engineers or Institution of Structural Engineers

Knowledge of technical software with S-Frame, CADS, SCIA, TEDDS and Tekla Structural Designer

Following appropriate UK design standards

Understanding of the Site Investigation process.

Duties and responsibilities for this SER Certified Structural Engineer include:

Inspecting and planning structural engineering reports, designs and drawings, specifications, specifications, and general correspondence.

Communicate and interact with external clients and professionals

Oversee Engineers and Technicians on the production of drawings.

Preparing structural reports on a variety of structures and buildings.
