Job Title: Room Leader
Location: Starfish Children’s Day Nursery, Farnham
Salary: £26,000 - £27,500
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week with the option of a day off

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Room Leader to join our team and lead one of our vibrant nursery rooms.
Key Responsibilities as a Room Leader:
- Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursery room, ensuring high standards of care and education.
- Curriculum Planning: Develop and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs that promote children's development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and support a team of nursery practitioners, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Child Development: Monitor and assess the progress of children, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with parents and carers about their child’s development.
- Health & Safety: Ensure the nursery room adheres to all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment for children and staff.
- Parental Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates and organizing parent meetings to discuss their child’s progress and any concerns.
Requirements of the Room Leader:
- Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 Early Years Education and Childcare qualification or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience working in an early years setting, with previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to providing high-quality childcare.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
- Attributes: Warm, caring, and approachable personality with a proactive and flexible approach to work.
