Responsibilities

- Prepare any architectural drawings necessary to facilitate the construction of developments

- HNC /HND / Degree in Building, Civil Engineering or Architectural design
- Design and planning expertise & technical knowledge

- You will not only contribute your problem-solving prowess but also delve deep into understanding how the intricate design aspects of construction projects intertwine with performance and functional considerations
- Understanding of CDM Regulations, LABC/NHBC / Building Regulation requirements, Codes of Practice and Code for Sustainable Homes
- Excellent architectural experience - particularly house types
- Amazing IT skills including AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office suite

The Architectural Technician role
- Ensure that the company complies with all relevant Technical and CDM legislation and the house types comply with building regulations and warranty requirements.
- Monitor and report progress of developments of house type construction to the Architectural Manager.
- Prepare any architectural drawings necessary to facilitate the construction of developments.
- Ensure that all architectural information is professionally presented, clear and is available/issued to all departments/external bodies as required.
- Ensure that all architectural information is correct and in line with planning approvals, building regulations and any other third-party information relating to that development.
- Assist with preparation of information required for Planning applications and liaise and respond to Planning issues to obtain a satisfactory planning approval, including the clearance of Planning Conditions.
- Appoint and liaise with specialists and consultants for specific expertise, these include, Noise Survey, Energy assessment, Structural Calculations etc.
- Assist in the supervision of junior members of the Technical Team as required.
- Site visits to assess progress of build and assist answering any site queries.
- Any other duties as reasonably requested to enable the department to meet its requirements and obligations.
The person
- HNC /HND / Degree in Building, Civil Engineering or Architectural design.
- Excellent architectural experience - particularly house types.
- Proven track record of delivering Building Control approvals.
- Design and planning expertise & technical knowledge.
- Amazing IT skills including AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Understanding of CDM Regulations, LABC/NHBC / Building Regulation requirements, Codes of Practice and Code for Sustainable Homes.

The package
- Up to £36k remuneration, inclusive of car allowance
- Monday - Friday, 08:30-17:00
- Annual company bonus of 3% (discretionary)
