Responsibilities

  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda
  • Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done
  • Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy
  • Collaboration with traders, risk managers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective product implementation and risk mitigation
  • Assessment of pricing and valuation of structured products, including the use of mathematical models and financial instruments, and liaising with trading to ensure competitive pricing
  • To develop and implement structured financial products and solutions to meet the needs of clients and optimize the bank's market exposure and profitability
  • Risk analysis and management associated with structured products, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and bank policies
  • You will be working closely with sales, trading, and quant teams to create solutions that meet the unique needs of our institutional clients
  • Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues
  • Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively

    Join us as an Exotics & Hybrid Structuring AVP at Barclays where you will become a key contributor withing our Markets division, specializing in the development and structuring of complex derivatives products. You will be working closely with sales, trading, and quant teams to create solutions that meet the unique needs of our institutional clients. You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in the role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job specific technical skills.

    Additional relevant skills in business in exotic options and quant background will be essential in driving success within the space.

    Salary / Rate Minimum: 125,000

    Salary / Rate Maximum: 170,000

    Purpose of the role
