Responsibilities

  • Create presentation materials and give presentations to leadership team, production team, and customers
  • Coordinate with our internal and external customers to resolve Supply Chain issues and to minimize interferences and other distractions from impacting the progression of work
  • Supports business execution of new programs and initiatives, forecasts and coordination for key events, and new product launches
  • Develops and implements long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues, production location decisions in support of business growth

Contract

40 hours per week

  • Ability to analyze, react, and train on exceptions in MRP, especially around Bills of Material, Material Planning, Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders and ECOs
  • Planning experience in a large multifaceted shipyard environment
  • Candidate must have strong analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Job Description

Develops and implements long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues, production location decisions, etc. in support of business growth. Supports business execution of new programs and initiatives, forecasts and coordination for key events, and new product launches. Monitors key performance indicators, analyzes performance data, and coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives. Candidate must have strong analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. He / she also needs a strong ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment along with the ability to lead a program's supply chain team. The candidate will also need sound interpersonal skills used when interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time, with company personnel, customers and suppliers.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Planning experience in a large multifaceted shipyard environment
  • Familiarity with defense industry & regulations
  • Knowledge of ship repair processes
  • Operations Experience / knowledge
  • Project Management experience

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Strong sense of urgency and follow-through
  • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Higher level education completed or in process
  • Experience working with U.S. Navy or commercial ship repair and modernization contract
  • Knowledge of shipboard work control procedures, tag out procedures, and Government Work Authorization Form (WAF) control
  • Ability to develop, prepare, and recommend changes to the workflow process using the IDR (Inspection Discrepancy Report) process

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $78760 - $133870

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
