    BAE Systems is looking for an experienced software Test Engineer to work on a multi-disciplinary team in an Agile, fast-paced development environment. This candidate will support the integration, test, deployment, and sustainment of an Intelligence Alerting and Situation Awareness system. Assigned tasks may include the development of Test Plans, Test Procedures, Integration, Regression Testing, and Deploying software into a continuous integration environment. Test engineer also supports system integration, installation, deployment and transition of the Insight system in the customer's operating environment.

    The ideal candidate will have experience with installation, testing and integration of complex and technical software development projects. This position requires support of customer meetings as needed and operational system deployment and activities.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and 5+ years of experience.
    • Experience with software integration and test processes for software development programs
    • Experience using logs and Java source code to troubleshoot and describe software behavior defects
    • Experience using browser developer tools and Javascript source code to troubleshoot and describe user interface behavior defects
    • Experience with Kubernetes and Rancher, or other container-managed deployment technology
    • Experience with requirements verification and stakeholder validation for software transition to OPS
    • Experience with agile development processes, including program planning
    • Motivated individual with strong problem-solving abilities
    • The ability to engage constructively with peers and technical leads to communicate the technical approach, trade-offs, and technical decisions
    • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
    • Understanding and application of modern software development and systems engineering practices, design principles, techniques, and technologies
    • Highly motivated and able to work well in both team and solo settings
    • Experience with developing systems engineering process for planning dev, integration and test
    • Capable of writing detailed test procedures
    • Capable of learning new systems quickly

    • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance

    Pay Information

    Full-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
