Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

  • Calibrate, repair, and maintain electrical, physical, and dimensional IMTE (Inspection, Measurement, and Test Equipment).
  • Document calibration and repair activities in accordance with established procedures.
  • Interpret test equipment specifications and understand how they apply to equipment calibrations.
  • Write and review calibration procedures.
  • Learn to identify and calculate measurement uncertainties involved with equipment calibrations.
  • Use Fluke MetCal software for automated calibrations.
  • Interface with internal customers and outside vendors.
  • Operate company owned vehicles as required.
  • Work is performed in an office, clean room, laboratory, manufacturing floor or machine shop environment.

Contract

40 hours per week

Candidate requirements

  • Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required
  • Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor's or Master's, may substitute for two years of related experience
  • Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education
  • Bachelor's or Master's, may substitute for two years of related experience
  • A good working knowledge of MS Office
  • A good working knowledge of electrical, physical, and dimensional standards used in calibration

The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution – from strategic capital investments, industrial operations and an efficient supply chain, to state-of-the-art manufacturing and test operations and top-notch facilities management.

What You'll Do:

  • Calibrate, repair, and maintain electrical, physical, and dimensional IMTE (Inspection, Measurement, and Test Equipment).

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent plus 6 or more years of related experience or a related 2-year technical degree and 4 or more years of related experience.
  • Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor's or Master's, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • As this position requires operating a company vehicle, an offer and subsequent employment are contingent upon possessing and maintaining a valid US driver's license and successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
  • Experience in at least three of the following areas of calibration: electrical, pressure, flow, force, temperature, humidity, vibration, torque, dimensional.
  • A good working knowledge of electrical, physical, and dimensional standards used in calibration.
  • Familiar with calibration system requirements (ANSI Z540, ISO 17025).
  • A good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Military PMEL (Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory) training.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $54560.000 - $87340.000

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
