Responsibilities

  • Intelligence & Security (I&S), based in McLean, Virginia, designs and delivers advanced defense, intelligence, and security solutions that support the important missions of our customers
  • Optimize solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting mechanisms using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights
  • Develop and maintain APIs, including API Management
  • Support NSPO meetings with equipment set-up and IT support, onsite and internationally at venues
  • Document designs, procedures, and configuration settings
  • Including the utilization of CLI modules in PowerShell to perform administration tasks
  • Design, develop, and deploy Azure-based applications and services
  • Collaborate with other IT teams and NSPO stakeholders to design, implement, and support Azure solutions that meet the business and security needs of the organization

Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Microsoft Azure Developer to join our NATO SEASPARROW Project Office (NSPO) IT/IM Team. The successful candidate should be able to:

  • Design, develop, and deploy Azure-based applications and services. Document designs, procedures, and configuration settings.
  • Provision, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Azure resources and services, such as virtual machines, storage accounts, networking, backup, identity, and security.
  • Implement and enforce policies, standards, and best practices for Azure governance, in DoD IL4 environment, cost management, and resource tagging.
  • Manage and automate Azure operations using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Azure Resource Manager templates, and Azure DevOps.
  • Integrate Azure services with Microsoft 365 GCC High and DoD environments, such as Azure Active Directory, Azure Information Protection, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and Microsoft Sentinel.​

​​​​​Develop and maintain APIs, including API Management.

  • Optimize solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Stay updated on the latest Azure features, updates, and security recommendations for the GCC High and DoD clouds.
  • Support NSPO meetings with equipment set-up and IT support, onsite and internationally at venues.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

The successful candidate must have:

  • Current Secret US government clearance w/SSBI IAW DoD 8570.1.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an Azure Developer, preferably in a IL4/GCC High or DoD cloud environment.
  • Proven experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with SPFx development framework and Vue/React JavaScript frameworks. Proficiency with Objects/Arrays/Algorithms; manipulation of API data; asynchronous programming in JavaScript. Knowledge of Python and Kubernetes Service a plus.
  • Experience with Azure security services, such as Azure Security Center, Azure Firewall, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Policy.
  • Experience with Azure management and automation tools, such as Azure Monitor, Azure Backup, Azure Automation, and Azure Lighthouse.
  • Knowledge of Azure Government, FedRAMP, and DoD cloud security and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to explain 365 design/topology and applications developed at previous workplaces.
  • Understanding of OAuth authentication protocol and it's use in Azure Active Directory.
  • Ability to assist in SharePoint and Teams administration. Including the utilization of CLI modules in PowerShell to perform administration tasks.
  • Familiarity with GIT, NPM, Visual Studio Code, Bash.
  • Ability to work as part of a team of Cisco Network, Developers, Cyber and Helpdesk teammates.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills and ability to work in a Multinational Environment.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Azure Developer with 3 years of hands-on experience administering Azure.
  • A strong understanding of core Azure services, Azure workloads, security, and governance.
  • Azure Administrator Associate certification or equivalent.
  • ​​​​​​​Previous experience with DoD cloud services.
  • Experienced in Fedramp/DISA approved products.
  • Experienced with APIs for Azure OpenAI.
  • Familiarity with ITAR and Export Control.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $75570 - $128480

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
