As part of a small, diverse and hardworking team of specialists, you will assist with implementing the company’s trade compliance policies and provide related guidance to company employees for various spaceflight systems. As a subject matter expert you will identify export control issues and undertake research to analyze and develop effective and compliant solutions, develop and administer training, respond to regulatory questions and provide guidance, undertake internal investigations, implement risk mitigation strategies, stay abreast of regulatory changes, and draft and submit classification requests, advisory opinions, and export/import applications to various government agencies.

Travel up to 10% of the time is expected in this position.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4+ years of experience in trade compliance
- Excellent working knowledge of the International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
- Experience classifying hardware and technical data according to the U.S. Commerce Control List (CCL) and the U.S. Munitions List (USML)
- Experience drafting applications for export and import authorization
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Desired
- Accustomed to working with a customer focus in a high demand environment
- Desired knowledge of SNAP-R and DECCS portal systems
- Experience drafting policies and procedures
- Familiarity with classification according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
- Familiarity with the U.S Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR) and the Automated Export System (AESDirect)
- Experience submitting Electronic Export Information (EEI) filings
- Familiarity with submissions to the Defense Office of Prepublication and Security Review (DOPSR)
- Experience driving organizational change
- Experience drafting and implementing audit procedures
- Level flexibility depended on candidate
Compensation Range For
WA applicants is $125,227.50-$175,318.50
Other Site Ranges May Differ
