Responsibilities

  • Generates and maintains Orders Forecasts for assigned market area
  • Synthesize the collected data through disciplined strategic thinking/filtering process to contribute to product line level strategies and technology roadmaps
  • Responsible for execution of front end of the business phase
  • Functions as capture team lead on pursuits through Bid/No Bid decision
  • Participates in decisions regarding teaming, subcontractor and other agreements required for pursuits
  • Coordinates information with the leadership team
  • Conducts customer visits and performs research to understand current and emerging customer needs and requirements
  • Responsible for execution of front end of the business phase (business decision) reviews
  • Works with customers to shape and influence requirements to help TACAir position to win
  • Contributes to TACAir business strategy and keeps up with the changing market dynamics
  • Assist in the assessment of the business environments, both domestic and international, to identify emerging/growth markets and long term trends in technology, budgets and operational needs

Job Description

Want to join a dynamic team that provides Electronic Warfare capabilities to our nation's warfighters? This position has leadership responsibilities for new business, Keep Sold and strategy development. As a Business Development (BD) Manager in our TACAir, (Tactical Aircraft) product line within our Electronic Combat Solutions Business Area, you will be charged with identifying, qualifying, and maintaining a “funnel” of new business opportunities, and leading growth initiatives for the organization. This position will require an energetic and proactive leadership style and a fundamental understanding of the U.S. DoD and International Airborne Electronic Warfare markets.

This position includes the identification, creation, development and qualification of new and existing business opportunities for the ECS Business Area. To accomplish these tasks, the candidate must have the ability to engage, shape, and influence U.S DoD customers and the equivalent International Ministries and agencies. Must be adept at vertically engaging customers at all levels from EW operators up through the ranks to senior level decision makers. Will assess the competitive market landscape, apply an understanding of customer “hot buttons”, use strategic filters to help develop and assess potential solutions, then develop and advocate the business case. Other responsibilities include leading in-depth reviews of market competitors, developing Price to Wins and become the “voice of the customer” to the business capture and program teams. The candidate will also contribute to business strategy of the TACAir product line and support product line Leadership Team for all new business activities, including management reviews.

This candidate is expected to be able to work both independently and with small integrated teams.

Previous experience in/with DoD headquarters staff or equivalent, Electronic Warfare operations and/or Acquisitions is highly desirable. As is previous experience in International Business, Capture, and with working with other international cultures.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

REQUIRED:

Bachelor's+, 12 years+ work experience or equivalent experience:

Experience with the DoD requirements process, in particular USAF & US Navy.

Experience with International FMS and DCS processes

Experience with International cultures and customer relations

Understanding of the Electronic Warfare market.

Able to translate warfighter needs into business opportunities

PREFFERED:

Business degree: Marketing, Management, International Business, etc.

Former experience in an EW role as a former customer and/or Business Development leader.

Active TS with SSBI

Required Skills:

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $147300 - $250400

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
