Responsibilities

  • #IJS
  • Provide strategic communications counsel and guidance to senior leadership and participate as an active member of the ECS leadership team.Represent the Communications function at staff meetings and strategic reviews.
  • Develop content and provide coaching and guidance for the ECS vice president, such as leadership messages, town halls, or speaking engagements.
  • Lead the development and implementation of integrated internal, marketing, and media plans for the business area.Drive collaboration across a matrixed team of diverse Communications professionals assigned to the business.
  • Craft messaging for the overall business and its key priorities.Project-manage communications tactics across media, marketing, graphics/collateral development, videos, etc.
  • Collaborate with the F-35 business partner, other business area, sector, or headquarter teams on strategic campaigns.
  • Enhance the brand – ensuring adherence to corporate branding and identity guidelines.
  • Develop and track metrics in support of functional and business objectives.
  • Look for ways to consistently elevate Business Partnership Communications by bringing the outside to best align our organization with best-in-class practices.
  • Report to the Manager of Business Partnerships and be a key member of the Executive Communications team in BAE Systems' Electronic Systems sector.
  • Be a steward of the organization's culture and uphold the ES Communications Operating Principles
  • This role involves a combination of independent and collaborative work, and does require weekly in-office presence at our New Hampshire-based sites. In-office time will amount to less than 50% of time during a “normal” work week. Other travel may be required less than 10% of the time.
  • Mimimum 1 day a week in office

In this role you will drive communications for our Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) business area, who is leading the future of electronic warfare. You will be the primary Communications point of contact for the ECS leadership team and trusted advisor to the ECS team's vice president/general manager.

Partnering with key stakeholders, you will build an in-depth knowledge of the organization's technology, innovation, and culture to inform critical projects and campaigns. As the business partner, you will create, drive, and oversee strategic, integrated communications plans to ensure message alignment in support of business priorities.

You will:

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, Journalism, English, or Marketing and at least 8 years of experience in a communications discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Required Skills:

  • Strong writing and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong relationship building, negotiation, time management and influencing skills.
  • Established business acumen.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading enterprise-level communications projects and campaigns.
  • In-depth knowledge of modern communications tactics, media, procedures, and concepts.
  • Must be a team builder, networker, collaborator and motivator with a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Ability to simultaneously initiate, prioritize, and coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to execute toward short-term and long-term deadlines across multiple projects.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $96470 - $164010

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
