Responsibilities

  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda
  • Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done
  • To solve problems creatively and effectively
  • Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy
  • Design and implementation of data warehoused and data lakes that manage the appropriate data volumes and velocity and adhere to the required security measures
  • Build and maintenance of data architectures pipelines that enable the transfer and processing of durable, complete and consistent data
  • Development of processing and analysis algorithms fit for the intended data complexity and volumes
  • Collaboration with data scientist to build and deploy machine learning models
  • Collaborate in a team of peers to design, architect, engineer, and support a central devops solution platform that supports multiple program's across Risk Finance and Treasury
  • Ensure that the technical integrity and quality of the applications and products are maintained across their lifetime, contributing to the development of any technical changes proposed
  • Champion the automated operation of the platform by creating compelling features in the form of software pipelines, site resiliency, process automation, and quality documentation
  • Input into product configurations, software choices, interoperability, CI/CD
  • Streamline execution cycle's and decrease the implementation cost's across the RTF Tech
  • Actively promotes and drives the implementation of Application Delivery strategy and policies, making recommendations to improve procedures and working practices
  • Provide support services in the form of incident investigation, recovery, and resolution to all clients of the platform

What will you be doing?

Barclays Services Corp. seeks PnST DevOps Developer, AVP in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):

  • Design and develop computer and network software for Risk Finance Treasury Technology Division.
  • Develop, deliver, and maintain a Group Stress Central DevOps platform's catering to multiple tenants/programs in Risk Finance and Treasury (RFT Tech), Stress Testing & CCAR.
  • Advocate/promote usage of the DevOps on-prem/Cloud platform's by providing adequate technical support to all stakeholders & provide visibility of platform operations with comprehensive documentation, monitoring, automation, cost reduction via automation and reporting.
  • Input into product configurations, software choices, interoperability, CI/CD( Teamcity/Nolio/Chef/Veracode/CyberArk) framework implementation.
  • Actively promotes and drives the implementation of Application Delivery strategy and policies, making recommendations to improve procedures and working practices.
  • Collaborate in a team of peers to design, architect, engineer, and support a central devops solution platform that supports multiple program's across Risk Finance and Treasury (RFT Tech), Stress Testing & CCAR.

Purpose of the role

To build and maintain the systems that collect, store, process, and analyse data, such as data pipelines, data warehouses and data lakes to ensure that all data is accurate, accessible, and secure.

Accountabilities
