Responsibilities

  • Provide ROKG status of SDSF repairs
  • Provide technical advice to ROKG in the development of Field Question Forms

  • Provide technical support and advice to ROKG personnel during PK Mission System recovery/restoral efforts
  • Support PDR development and revision to support SDSF repairs
  • Serve in an advisory/consulting role to the Republic of Korea Government

  • Basic Understanding of Information Technology equipment hardware configuration and maintenance
  • Experience with software development and agile development methodologies
  • Experience with the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of virtual and physical enterprise network systems

This is a position in South Korea supporting the Peace Krypton (PK) Program as the Software Field Service Representative for both the PK Air Primary Mission Equipment (PME) and the PK Ground Stations. Candidate will spend approximately 4 months in Colorado Springs, CO for system and architecture training prior to full deployment to Republic of Korea (ROK).

  • The System Engineer with Software, Operating System, and System Administration Knowledge serves as the SW Software Field Service Representative for the PK Program supporting the PK Mission System operation and maintenance activities in the ROK. The SW Software Field Service Representative shall be skilled in the maintenance, operation, and problem resolution of the PK Mission System The Work
  • This person will perform diagnosis of system anomalies, verbal and written coordination/communication with Operations and Maintenance support Engineers based at the PK System Depot Support Facility (SDSF), and system repair and recovery.
  • Perform and/or support core program staff in periodic system maintenance activities to include system and software patching, system continuous monitoring, system repair and recovery, and maintenance of the PK Mission System baseline.
  • Serve in an advisory/consulting role to the Republic of Korea Government (ROKG) to resolve PK Mission System problems and provide Over-The-Shoulder training. this trainings topics include airborne and ground software based PME operations, software/operating system maintenance and administration.
  • Participate in monthly meetings at the Defense Intelligence Command (DIC) to discuss issues/programs of concern (i.e., Top Ten Items, Host Spares & repairs, and PME System Status).
  • Provide updates to the USG through the PK Program Manager Quarterly Status Report to include DIC Meeting Minutes, Top Ten Items, Host Spares and Repairs, and PME System Status. What You Will Be Doing
  • Provide technical advice to ROKG personnel for the Operations, Maintenance, and Recovery of the PK Mission System.
  • Provide technical support and advice to ROKG personnel during PK Mission System recovery/restoral efforts.
  • Support ROKG personnel in performing PK Mission System configuration and system administration activities.
  • Perform and/or support PK Program Core Staff in the implementation of PK Mission system updates, patches, and required configuration changes.
  • Coordinate with SDSF based personnel as required relating to the Operations, Maintenance, and Recovery of the PK Mission System. - Provide technical advice to ROKG in the development of Field Question Forms (FQFs).
  • Provide opinions/comments relating to FQFs to support USG and SDSF analysis.
  • Provide onsite support, system administration and otherwise, as requested by the ROKG at the Central Exploitation Equipment Subsystem (CEES), Mobile Exploitation Equipment Subsystem (MEES)1, MEES2, Mission Airfield Workstation (MAWS), and Mission Aircraft.
  • Assist ROKG personnel in the technical checkout of hardware received from the SDSF.
  • Support PDR development and revision to support SDSF repairs.
  • Provide ROKG status of SDSF repairs.
  • Support PK Program Core personnel travel, installation, and test during PK System SW deliveries. #RMSC6ISR

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be willing to re-located to South Korea for a minimum of 24 months*** - Qualified candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Final Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position. This requires US Citizenship.
  • Experience with the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of clustered VMware vSphere environments.
  • Experience with the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of VMware Horizon environments.
  • Experience with the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of Windows Servers and Workstations in Domain environments.
  • Experience with the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of virtual and physical enterprise network systems.
  • Experience with the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of VMware, Windows, and Network environments with Department of Defense cyber-security hardening requirements

Desired Skills

Pay Rate

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $100,400 - $192,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
