  • Intelligence & Security (I&S), based in McLean, Virginia, designs and delivers advanced defense, intelligence, and security solutions that support the important missions of our customers
  • Assesses issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
  • Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team
  • Prepares project execution plan and identifies technical and business resources needed

Contract

40 hours per week

Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a Field Service Supervisor who embraces challenges and is a motivated self-starter. Will be an integral part of a diverse team of professionals and subject matter experts fulfilling challenging technical requirements for our dynamic customers. Will conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements and may be required to assist with troubleshooting technical problems and issues and determine technical resolutions in accordance with product and customer specifications. Will support both urgent short duration projects and longer term requirements. Project team activities include system design, procurement, fabrication, integration, testing and evaluation, installation, and fielding support for communication platforms.

The selected candidate will assist the current project managers of the Family of Special Operations Vehicle (FOSOV) and Deployed Mission Support II (DMS II) with all technical operations and budget in support of both CONUS, and OCONUS FOSOV locations. Will serve as a liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Prepares project execution plan and identifies technical and business resources needed. Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.

Additionally, the selected candidate will be administratively responsible for a small team of direct reports who are currently working on the DMS II project.

This position is located in Chesapeake, VA. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Chesapeake, VA or surrounding areas.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Bachelor's degree in business, project management, engineering, systems management, or related discipline and at least 3 years of related experience OR Associate degree and at least 7 years of related work experience

At least 1 year of supervisory experience

Military electronics training/experience

Tactical radio (SATCOM, LOS, and HF) operations/maintenance experience

COMSEC equipment operations/maintenance experience

Component level repair and soldering experience (2M)

Ability to lift 30 pounds

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Technical Project management experience

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Ability to read and interpret drawings

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $68700 - $116800

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
