Sterling Engineering is looking for talented Project Architects to join a mid-size architectural firm near Rosemont, IL. Job Duties:

  • Meet deadlines with accurate and complete work by proactively engaging the project team.
  • Supports project teams in developing design documentation.
  • Provides architectural support to Project Managers on multiple projects.
  • Utilizes AutoCAD/Revit and other programs for layouts and diagrams
  • Assists with completing and revising construction drawings (bid, permit, client review).
  • Prepares and revises various architectural documents (site plans, floor plans, etc.)
  • Researches and documents landlord criteria, building codes, and local requirements.
  • Interprets and applies state/local code compliances.
  • Coordinates with external consultants (civil, structural, etc.) and client vendors
  • Communicates directly with manufacturers/vendors for product details.
  • Assists with performing site observations and gathering existing building conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a bachelor degree
  • Proficient in Revit and/or AutoCAD
  • experience with rendering software
  • Supports quality drawing production through QA/QC of own work prior to delivering to Project Manager
  • Seeks knowledge and understanding by mastering tasks and responsibilities through proactive engagement
