Responsibilities

  • The planner develops and implements long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues, production location decisions in support of business growth and sustainment
  • Support risk management activities impacting the value chain working with cross-functional teams
  • Plan, prepare, issue and control material requirements in conjunction with the production schedule
  • Utilize system and process tools to achieve program / functional goals
  • Optimize how supply chain management interfaces with manufacturing systems
  • Ensure that shipments are accomplished to maintain contract/internal delivery commitments

Contract

Job Description

The Supply Chain Planner (SCP) is the focal point for all supply chain activities. The planner develops and implements long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues, production location decisions, etc. in support of business growth and sustainment. The planner supports execution of programs and coordination of new program / product launches. The SCP monitors key performance indicators, analyzes performance data, and coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.

The Supply Chair Planner will:

  • Optimize how supply chain management interfaces with manufacturing systems.
  • Plan, prepare, issue and control material requirements in conjunction with the production schedule.
  • Support risk management activities impacting the value chain working with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure that shipments are accomplished to maintain contract/internal delivery commitments.
  • Utilize system and process tools to achieve program / functional goals.

As a Principle Planner, this position requires that the individual possess a strong understanding of procurement and planning process steps; the individual must be capable of troubleshooting process failures to ensure success for the program. The candidate will be expected to train and mentor junior level supply chain team members. This position relies on experience and judgment to organize, plan, and accomplish department objectives with a wide degree of creativity, continuous improvement approach, and latitude expected to fulfill a variety of duties.

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree and 4-6 years work experience or equivalent experience
  • Significant ERP System Experience (Oracle, SAP, Other), inclusive of shop floor control systems
  • Planning experience in a large multifaceted electronic manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Familiarity with defense aerospace industry & regulations
  • Inventory / stockroom management
  • Ability to verbally and accurately report production status to program team or factory team
  • Ability to analyze, react, and train on exceptions in Material Requirements Planning (MRP), especially around Bills of Material, Material Planning, Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders and ECOs with minimal assistance from the Supply Chain Manager.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Higher level education completed or in process
  • 6 years related experience
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge with the ability to formally teach in two or more of the following: Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Inventory Management, and Rough Cut Capacity Planning or Production Planning, Production Scheduling
  • Experience working in a Depot environment

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $96470 - $164010

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
