Responsibilities

  • Working in a small team and reporting to the Management Information Systems manager and assisting in developing and maintaining Life Cycle Sustainment (LCS) contract MIS web systems
  • Working directly with the UK and USA IT teams and the UK Manage Asset team to develop an on-going solution for the sustainability of the M777 Towed Howitzer program
  • Producing metrics and reports to demonstrate performance against contract and customer requirements
  • Building and maintaining HTML web pages in a SharePoint environment
  • On boarding new UK and USA and international users via Exostar and USA servers
  • Extract data from existing databases to fuel business intelligent systems for publication to the web
  • Work with existing software system in conjunction with senior applications engineer USA
  • Streamline, automate and adapt existing systems and processes ready for delivery to the web based environment
  • Work remote USA servers via CITRIX and systems from the UK maintaining nightly processes and data transfers
  • Create, maintain and update technology model diagrams and documentation

Contract

40 hours per week

What you'll be doing:

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • A good working knowledge of current web based tools e.g. Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, SQL, Visual basic, SharePoint and JavaScript is required
  • A confident and a strong multi-tasker, with the ability to manage a number of projects effectively, to timescales, quality and within budget
  • Proactive with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

  • Qualified to degree level or have comparable further educational qualifications in a computer or graphic based environment would be advantageous
