Job Description
Join BAE Systems' Intelligence and Security Sector and be part of a diverse and enthusiastic team who solves some of the world's most complex technical challenges. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and improving the quality assurance processes and systems within our organization, with a specific focus on managing our ISO 9001 program. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products/services meet or exceed customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and ISO 9001 standards. The ideal candidate has a strong background in quality management, experience in implementing and managing ISO 9001 programs, excellent attention to detail, and a track record of successfully implementing quality assurance initiatives.
This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in St. Mary's County, near to Patuxent River Naval Air Station.
Limited relocation assistance may be available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Quality/Business Management, Engineering, Sciences)
Proven work experience as a Quality Assurance Manager or in a similar role, with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing ISO 9001 programs
At least 8 years of related experience
In-depth knowledge of quality management principles, standards, and methodologies, with expertise in ISO 9001 implementation and compliance
Experience developing and implementing quality assurance programs, processes, and systems in alignment with ISO 9001:2015 requirements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex situations and make sound decisions
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in accordance with ISO 9001 standards
Effective leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Proficiency in using quality assurance tools and software applications
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Master's degree in business or technical field
8-10 years of experience in leading an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Assurance program
One or more of the following:
-ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence
-ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
-ASQ Certified Quality Auditor
PMI Certified Project Management Professional
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $113080 - $192280
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
