Responsibilities

  • Support assemblers, technicians and inspectors for manufacturing issues on new and existing products.
  • Participate in and document corrective action requests using 9 Step problem solving methodology.
  • Provide engineering support to the design, development and selection of basic hardware components utilizing fundamental electrical engineering principles, theories and techniques.
  • Obtain working knowledge of company tools. Perform analyses and compile data for investigation by senior engineering personnel.
  • Support the fabrication and testing of prototype or deliverable hardware. Document and present results.
  • Develop or improve test fixtures, tooling, manufacturing processes and other procedures for new and existing product builds to reduce defects and improve yields.

Contract

40 hours per week

Job Description

The Electronic Systems' Hardware Engineering Department is seeking candidates for Computer Engineering summer internships supporting all aspects of the engineering development and manufacturing lifecycle. At BAE Systems, we deliver a full range of products and services for air, land and naval forces, as well as advanced electronics, security, information technology solutions and customer support services.

Opportunities exist supporting a variety of efforts in engineering development, integration, test and transition to production efforts on complex electronic and mechanical systems.

Roles and Responsibilities may include:

  • Provide engineering support to the design, development and selection of basic hardware components utilizing fundamental electrical engineering principles, theories and techniques.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Pursuing a BS Degree in Computer Engineering (or equivalent) - No Computer Science
  • Eligible for DOD Security Clearance.
  • MUST be able to relocate to Southern NH area
  • MUST have reliable transportation to and from assigned work site
  • MUST be able to work full 40-hour work week (Exceptions made for academics with advanced notice)
  • NOTE: BAE Systems has multiple campuses within driving distance in the Southern NH Region. You may be assigned to a different regional location in your final staffing placement.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $44660 - $60280

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
