Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function
  • Guide and persuade team members and communicate complex / sensitive information
  • Advise and influence decision making within own area of expertise
  • Resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and will be guided by precedents
  • Will have an impact on the work of related teams within the area
  • Escalate breaches of policies / procedure appropriately
  • Partner with other functions and business areas
  • Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes
  • Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes
  • Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution
  • To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution
  • Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations
  • Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency
  • Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders

Contract

40 hours per week

Candidate requirements

Barclays are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Crime Screening Senior Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating risks associated with financial crime. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our processes and systems effectively safeguard our clients and the integrity of our business.

To be successful as a Financial Crime Screening Senior Analyst you should have experience with:

  • Previous experience and a good understanding of financial crime.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret multi-layered data and identify anomalies.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Familiarity with financial crime regulations and best practices.
  • An understanding of Sanctions.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools used for screening and monitoring.

Purpose of the role
