Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and manage the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production
  • Develop raw material requirements and scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules and plans and manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production
  • Utilize material requirements planning (MRP) systems
  • May negotiate lead times with suppliers and manage schedules for timely delivery

Contract

40 hours per week

Job Description

BAE Systems is currently seeking a Material Planner to join our Combat Mission Systems team.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and manage the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production
  • Develop raw material requirements and scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules and plans and manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production
  • Utilize material requirements planning (MRP) systems
  • May negotiate lead times with suppliers and manage schedules for timely delivery

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of relevant experience OR equivalent education with experience
  • Proficient educational development and technical training in production management, inventory control, production scheduling, or related areas
  • Working knowledge and practical understanding of a materials management system
  • Ability to gather and analyze detailed data, summarize and utilize problems, and measure performance
  • Ability to explain and service internal and external customers on the rationale for adjusting schedules, plans, and processes
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • APICS or CPIM Certification
  • Oracle

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $58300 - $99100

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
