Responsibilities

  • Interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with company personnel, customers, and suppliers
  • Collaborate effectively with customers and suppliers as well as supporting functions for work critical to the business
  • Motivating and managing direct labor workforce
  • Hiring, developing, coaching, and leading high-performing teams
  • Establishing and Monitoring performance to targets
  • Will provide motivation, coaching, and leadership to team members to ensure the accomplishment of business objectives including meeting safety, quality, delivery, cost and company objectives

Contract

40 hours per week

Job Description

This is a 2nd shift position.

BAE Systems is looking for a Factory Value Stream Leader (VSL) for their Austin, Texas facility. The VSL role is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, leading, and managing activities within a team-based manufacturing environment. Major areas of responsibility include establishing and improving manufacturing capabilities for highly technical products and programs.

  • Will provide motivation, coaching, and leadership to team members to ensure the accomplishment of business objectives including meeting safety, quality, delivery, cost and company objectives.
  • Maintain an effective and efficient organization while effectively communicating responsibilities and objectives to employees.
  • Collaborate effectively with customers and suppliers as well as supporting functions for work critical to the business.
  • Will have extensive experience utilizing Lean concepts to meet or exceed business and customer requirements.
  • Adhere to the highest standards of legal, ethical, and business conduct in relationships with fellow employees, the Company, suppliers, customers, and the public.
  • The ability to work flexible hours and days to meet objectives is highly desirable.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Experience with managing people in a manufacturing environment. Hiring, developing, coaching, and leading high-performing teams.
  • Motivating and managing direct labor workforce.
  • Establishing and Monitoring performance to targets.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Technical field and 6 years work experience.
  • Experience leading Kaizen teams and applying lean principles throughout the value stream.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification.
  • Supply Chain, Program Management, and/or Quality experience.
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610/J-STD-001 class 3 requirements.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $78760 - $133870

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
