Responsibilities

  • As a Sales and Capacity Tactical Planner, you will play a pivotal role in preparing future weekly plans aligned with forecasted demand targets and available capacities
  • Your responsibilities will include ensuring the most cost-effective delivery of goods, maintaining accuracy within set targets, and quickly adapting to changing CFC ramp plans
  • You will also ensure effective slot availability for customers via the website, set up and maintain live route data, and coordinate resources across various planning functions
  • In this role, you'll identify potential savings and improvements, support their implementation, and ensure communication and coordination with team members and managers to meet site goals and strategies
  • Additionally, you'll promote the effective use of departmental systems and processes and ensure compliance with Competition Compliance Guidelines.

Contract

40 hours per week

Candidate requirements

  • While proven operational or retail experience within a planning or logistics department is desirable, advanced Excel skills, experience with QGIS, and knowledge of VBA and SQL are preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to analyse and impart knowledge are essential
  • Good organisational abilities, including the capacity to plan and prioritise, high levels of customer service, and excellent time management skills are also required
  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, great attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel

    About the role: based at Head office (one permanent and one 6 month fixed term position available)

    We're looking for a dedicated Sales and Capacity Tactical Planner to join our team in Hatfield. In this crucial role, you'll be accountable for producing and verifying future weekly plans with the highest possible accuracy and asset efficiency. Working from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, including Bank Holidays, you'll ensure our operations run smoothly. If you're ready to make a significant impact, we want to hear from you!

While proven operational or retail experience within a planning or logistics department is desirable, advanced Excel skills, experience with QGIS, and knowledge of VBA and SQL are preferred.
