Candidate requirements

  • Experience in Intelligence Operations / Analysis / Support to Field Operations
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, the fundamentals of intelligence tradecraft
  • OAs must have previous experience in the role, be able to draft and coordinate cables, and provide expertise on a variety of issues
  • Foreign field experience from at least four
  • Familiarity with cable writing and classified databases, including specific targeting tools
  • Relevant experience serving in a leadership position overseas or management of officers
  • OAs must think critically and communicate clearly and accurately

Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking Operations Advisors (OAs) to support a client's operational requirements in a challenging, dynamic setting located in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Successful OA candidates will work in an integrated government-contractor team supporting operations. Responsibilities include supporting a wide range of operational and programmatic activities in an Area of Responsibility (AOR); supporting the intelligence lifecycle; and documenting recommendations. OAs will be expected to prioritize tasks and provide timely support to management requests. OAs must have previous experience in the role, be able to draft and coordinate cables, and provide expertise on a variety of issues. OAs must think critically and communicate clearly and accurately.

The position requires an active Security Clearance with Polygraph; there is no exception to the clearance requirement. Successful candidates will work well in team environments and also be capable of operating independently with minimal supervision. Candidates will be expected to professionally interact with customer personnel at all levels within the customer organization.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Level 4 requires 12 years of related work experience; Level 5 requires 20 years of related work experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, the fundamentals of intelligence tradecraft
  • Familiarity with cable writing and classified databases, including specific targeting tools
  • Foreign field experience from at least four (4) PCS tours, or from overseas TDY experience of comparable duration, providing support to Customer's intelligence collection operations
  • Certification in Customer's basic tradecraft courses
  • Active Security Clearance with Polygraph

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Experience in Intelligence Operations / Analysis / Support to Field Operations
  • Experience using customer databases to monitor field traffic and communicate with field offices
  • Relevant experience serving in a leadership position overseas or management of officers
  • Foreign languages skills

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $126610 - $215270

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
