Responsibilities

  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda
  • Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done

  • Maintenance and updating of existing reports and dashboards to reflect changing business needs, including co-ordination of reporting template releases and related administrative tasks

  • Design, development and implementation of automated report generation processes for improved efficiency and timeliness
  • Design and development of comprehensive reports and dashboards using various data visualization tools and techniques
  • To support the bank's decision-making processes by providing timely, accurate, and insightful information through designing, developing, and maintaining management reports and dashboards that effectively communicate key performance indicators
  • Identification and analysis of business requirements to define report content and format
  • Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function
  • To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness
  • Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions

Join us as an AVP in the Contentious Legal Reporting & Governance (CLRG) team at Barclays. This role is focused on supporting the delivery of multiple firm-wide reporting requirements relating to contentious matters managed by Barclays Legal. Specific role responsibilities include: assisting with the planning, execution and timely delivery of Board materials and reports; assisting with the preparation of notes to the financial statements in respect of Legal, Regulatory and Competition matters and Legal Risk for disclosure in Barclays' Results Announcements; monitoring/reporting on litigation provisions and associated governance; assisting with the Bank's external audit process; and assisting with contentious stress testing exercises.

The role requires robust stakeholder management skills to ensure that strong relationships are maintained within the Global Litigation, Investigations & Enforcement team as well as with the Competition, Financial Crime and Employment & Pensions Legal teams and more widely to maintain and develop engagement with the Barclays entity General Counsel teams, Corporate Secretariat, Finance, Group Risk, Investor Relations, the Bank's external auditors and the Bank's external legal advisors.

Key skills required for this role include:

  • Paralegal, Legal Executive or other similar background.
  • Experience of collating and reporting management information.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience working within financial services industry.

Purpose of the role

To support the bank's decision-making processes by providing timely, accurate, and insightful information through designing, developing, and maintaining management reports and dashboards that effectively communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends across various business units.

Accountabilities
