Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Coordinates the evaluation, approval/disapproval and implementation of configuration changes throughout the life cycle of assigned programs
  • Recommends actions related to hiring, performance evaluations, promotions, transfers, and training for all assigned configuration team members
  • May serve as departmental representative to process improvement teams
  • Performs all necessary interface and communication with customers, subcontractors, and program team members
  • Communicates effectively both orally and in writing
  • Reviews functional plans and technical data items to ensure all CDM requirements have been addressed and properly integrated within the requirements defined within the Program CDM Plan
  • Establishes and maintains an effective working relationship with internal / external customers and their representatives
  • Contributes to the publication and acceptance of CDM Command Media and detailed methodologies for performing CDM functions
  • Responsible for collecting program metrics and contributing to departmental metrics
  • Leads/provide work direction to other CDM program personnel
  • Ensures adherence to contractual requirements and established CDM processes by providing oversight of all CDM functions
  • Regular contact with both CDM and other program functional representatives to coordinate work products
  • Mentors and knowledge shares with lower level CDM specialists in tool usage and program execution
  • Responsible for compiling CDM Postmortem data
  • Directs the resolution of all CDM issues relating to program contractual requirements and company policies and procedures
  • Prepares and presents status reports for CDM activities during customer and company program reviews
  • Coordinates and directs all CDM functions, including review of technical requirements and the development of the Program CDM Plan
  • Provides supervision and direction to all CDM functions on a program
  • Assignments are provided with appreciable latitude for ingenuity and decision making
  • Manages CDM team(s) in support of programs
  • Maintains current knowledge and advocates for proper CDM process
  • Develops and implements the Company's philosophy of operation and associated policies and procedures for functional responsibility and the implementation of all reward and motivational actions for subordinate employees
  • Ensures CDM team adherence to established CDM and company policies and procedures
  • Coordinates, facilitates, and conducts all internal and customer conducted configuration audits for assigned programs to include formal plans and reports

Precision Strike & Sensing Solutions (PS) has technology, engineering and program teams that educate and mentor colleagues to deliver leading Electronic Warfare capabilities. Perform as a first line functional manager for a multi discipline staff with knowledge of hardware configuration management, software configuration management, and data management. Manages CDM team(s) in support of programs. Given minimal direction, directs all program configuration/data management (CDM) activities to ensure compliance with company policies and program requirements. Assigns personnel with skill sets required for successful program execution; assigns/monitors work; monitors progress against time and budget parameters; prepares performance reviews; recommends employee actions. Maintain Configuration/Data Management (CDM) capabilities consistent with the needs of the ES Sector. The candidate will also perform DL work on programs as an HCM, SCM or DM.

Duties/Tasks:

  • Executes line management responsibilities of a substantial functional unit within Engineering, often for specific function (s) within the department's field of responsibility. Develops and implements the Company's philosophy of operation and associated policies and procedures for functional responsibility and the implementation of all reward and motivational actions for subordinate employees. Typically assigned to lead one or more specific project tasks on which subordinates are heavily involved.
  • Coordinates and directs all CDM functions, including review of technical requirements and the development of the Program CDM Plan(s). Provides supervision and direction to all CDM functions on a program(s).
  • Directs the resolution of all CDM issues relating to program contractual requirements and company policies and procedures. Contributes to the publication and acceptance of CDM Command Media and detailed methodologies for performing CDM functions.
  • Generates CDM inputs to program cost proposals, ensuring that all CDM contractual requirements are satisfied and realistically costed and scheduled.
  • Establishes and maintains an effective working relationship with internal / external customers and their representatives. Prepares and presents status reports for CDM activities during customer and company program reviews. Performs all necessary interface and communication with customers, subcontractors, and program team members.
  • Reviews functional plans and technical data items to ensure all CDM requirements have been addressed and properly integrated within the requirements defined within the Program CDM Plan(s).
  • When acting as Cost Account Manager, ensures overall cost and schedule performance of all program CDM elements and provides timely status reporting to program management.
  • Coordinates the evaluation, approval/disapproval and implementation of configuration changes throughout the life cycle of assigned programs. Ensures adherence to contractual requirements and established CDM processes by providing oversight of all CDM functions.
  • Coordinates, facilitates, and conducts all internal and customer conducted configuration audits for assigned programs to include formal plans and reports.

  • Regular contact with both CDM and other program functional representatives to coordinate work products. Is expected to assume a leadership role in a teamwork environment. Occasional outside contact to include customer and/or subcontractors.
  • Requires functional knowledge of configuration management tools and the demonstrated ability to lead CDM teams on major programs and/or multiple smaller programs. Communicates effectively both orally and in writing. Exhibits sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with company personnel, customers, and suppliers.
  • Ensures CDM team adherence to established CDM and company policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Bachelor's degree and / or related work experience.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $126610 - $215270

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
