  • Intelligence & Security (I&S), based in McLean, Virginia, designs and delivers advanced defense, intelligence, and security solutions that support the important missions of our customers

Contract

40 hours per week

  • Demonstrated ability to lead creative and innovative architecture solutions from ill-defined requirements
  • Such as JIRA, Confluence, and GitHub
  • Demonstrated ability to adjust to changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to explain technical issues clearly and accurately to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to provide cloud agnostic architecture solutions
  • A general understanding of Identity, Credential, and Access Management concepts, specifically those associated with Authentication
  • Demonstrated ability to translate requirements into end-to-end designs for systems that involve multiple interfaces and supporting data repositories
  • Demonstrated ability to develop a technical roadmap using current and future technology and architectural advancements to support the customers' vision and goals
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge the norms, solicit engineering feedback, and build consensus around proposed designs

    BAE Systems is looking for a Technical Leader with a Systems or Software Engineer background. As an Architect, you will deliver new innovative Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) solutions. You will be challenged to performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, alternatives analysis resulting in robust technical solutions. By coordinating and collaborating with product owners, product teams, and IT cross functional groups, you will build consensus ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    • Demonstrated ability to work with business processes and technical personnel to deliver a robust, scalable architecture that meets the business goals of the organization
    • Demonstrated ability to lead creative and innovative architecture solutions from ill-defined requirements
    • Demonstrated ability to translate requirements into end-to-end designs for systems that involve multiple interfaces and supporting data repositories
    • Demonstrated ability to explain technical issues clearly and accurately to both technical and non-technical audiences
    • Demonstrated ability to develop a technical roadmap using current and future technology and architectural advancements to support the customers' vision and goals
    • Demonstrated ability to adjust to changing priorities
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently, without direct program supervision, and in a mixed teaming environment
    • Demonstrated ability to provide cloud agnostic architecture solutions (leveraging AWS, Azure, Google, IBM, Oracle)
    • Demonstrated ability to perform various individual contributor roles, such as Project Manager, Scheduler, Requirements Engineer, and Information Systems Security Engineer
    • Demonstrated ability to challenge the norms, solicit engineering feedback, and build consensus around proposed designs

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    • System automation
    • Knowledge of Agile development principles and tools (such as JIRA, Confluence, and GitHub)
    • Ability to deliver cloud-hosted solutions
    • A general understanding of Identity, Credential, and Access Management concepts, specifically those associated with Authentication

    Pay Information

    Full-Time Salary Range: $140690 - $239140

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
