Responsibilities

  • Intelligence & Security (I&S), based in McLean, Virginia, designs and delivers advanced defense, intelligence, and security solutions that support the important missions of our customers

  • Provide a full range of support in the production and dissemination of finished products, specifically, working with analytic customers
  • Working knowledge with structured authoring software
  • Working knowledge with electronic publishing software such as Adobe InDesign, and FrameMaker
  • Conduct final reviews of text, graphics and other formats for intelligence products
  • Formulate simple queries for relevant databases, produce publications in accordance to standards

Contract

40 hours per week

  • Working knowledge with structured authoring software
  • Working knowledge with electronic publishing software such as Adobe InDesign, and FrameMaker
  • Working knowledge with structured authoring software (SGML, XML and HTML) and expert ability to format documents using such software

Job Description

Provide a full range of support in the production and dissemination of finished products, specifically, working with analytic customers (authors). Conduct final reviews of text, graphics and other formats for intelligence products. Formulate simple queries for relevant databases, produce publications in accordance to standards. Possess professional-level expertise with electronic publishing applications - Microsoft Office Suite, QuarkXpress, Adobe InDesign, FrameMaker, Acrobat; structured authoring software - SGML, XML, and HTML.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

At least 3 years of editing experience along with an undergraduate or graduate degree in Journalism or English OR at least 5 years of editing experience without the specified degree. Working knowledge with electronic publishing software such as Adobe InDesign, and FrameMaker. Working knowledge with structured authoring software (SGML, XML and HTML) and expert ability to format documents using such software. Strong presentation and interpersonal skills. Excellent writing skills. Demonstrated proficiency with the following applications: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Outlook. Working knowledge of Worldwide Web and multimedia technologies.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $60076 - $102130

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
