Responsibilities

  • Performs Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of Aircraft and Components.
  • Set-up, calibration, and utilization of nondestructive testing equipment to conduct final inspection after system/component installations are complete to verify compliance and completeness of work.
  • Reviews and audits production work orders.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Contract

40 hours per week

Job Description

Responsible for non-destructive testing (NDT) on metallic and non-metallic aircraft structures and components for corrosion, defects, or any detrimental conditions in accordance with prescribed methods and procedures. Interpret inspection results and complete required documentation in accordance with established procedures. Maintain inspection equipment and assure proper calibration for tests to be performed.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of Aircraft and Components.
  • Set-up, calibration, and utilization of nondestructive testing equipment to conduct final inspection after system/component installations are complete to verify compliance and completeness of work.
  • Reviews and audits production work orders.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of related experience.
  • Must have or be able to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
  • Level II Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Certification: Liquid Penetrate, Magnetic Particle, Eddy Current, Ultrasonic and/or Radiographic inspection
  • Ability to correctly maintain, calibrate, and use NDT equipment.
  • Must read, write and write English, understand component maintenance manuals and all other applicable technical and regulatory documents.
  • Knowledge of 14 CFR §145 repair station procedures and use of paperwork in relation to repair documentation
  • Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
  • Able to comply with all safety and physical requirements to access tight fit areas and or confined spaces such as aircraft fuel tanks and wheel wells, or working from elevated platforms, ladders and top of aircraft.
  • Must have experience using precision measuring equipment and reading and interpreting industry standards.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

· FederalAviation Airframe and Powerplant License with Inspection Authorization

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $56200 - $95500

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
