Responsibilities

  • Intelligence & Security (I&S), based in McLean, Virginia, designs and delivers advanced defense, intelligence, and security solutions that support the important missions of our customers
  • Develop training materials and recommended new training technologies in accordance with Government requirements and support the development of applicable programs of instruction, lesson plans, practical exercises, and evaluations

  • Experience utilizing Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) OSINT tools which include but are not limited to Tool Kit applications (, SILO, SCRAAWL, Data Miner, and Babel

Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking Tradecraft (Open-Source Intelligence/OSINT) Instructor to support our government customer at Reston, VA and Patrick Space Force Base, FL. This instructor will be working in a classified environment and will develop, maintain, and/or deliver Basic course training, Advanced course training, Managed Attribution and Advanced Leadership course, Tool and Database usage course, and Ancillary OSIC processes and required tool training course to drive intel goals, objectives, tradecraft and standards; agile training development capabilities; Develops and maintains training records.

The instructor will also:

  • Deliver OSINT training at multiple locations via Mobile Training Teams or a virtual learning platform/environment.
  • Develop training materials and recommended new training technologies in accordance with Government requirements and support the development of applicable programs of instruction, lesson plans, practical exercises, and evaluations.
  • Assist in developing new methods for tracking and reporting DIA OSIC program statistics as well as improving upon existing standards and processes within DIA OSIC, in support of DIA's OSINT training coordination and outreach.
  • Knowledgeable of and demonstrates ability to apply IC and DoD classification guidelines and procedures.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Mid-level: Bachelor's degree in a related intelligence area with 8+ years of instructor experience with related experience within the last 2 years, or 10+ years of experience
  • Senior: Master's degree in a related intelligence area with 12+ years of instructor experience with related experience within the last 2 years, or a Bachelor's degree with 17+ years of experience
  • Expert: Master's degree in a related intelligence area with 20+ years of instructor experience with related experience within the last 2 years
  • Experience utilizing Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) OSINT tools which include but are not limited to Tool Kit applications (e.g., SILO, SCRAAWL, Data Miner, and Babel).
  • Prior military or government analytical experience

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Graduate of Government OSINT Training courses (e.g., U.S. Army OBC, OS301/OS302, CASO, defense or IC equivalent (DIA BOTC, FBI OS101).
  • Experience conducting intelligence analytical support for the IC/DoD

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $75570 - $128480

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
