Responsibilities

  • Provide support to program proposal cost estimates by developing or reviewing Basis of Estimates that including quantified risks and opportunities
  • Develop individual and group goals and objectives
  • Track program execution through metrics and technical reviews
  • Key EW program objectives are to improve/enhance air vehicle survivability, through the abilities to detect, deny, deceive, degrade and/or disrupt adversaries Integrated Air Defenses. This position will involve developing new EA capabilities for application in EW systems and performing systems engineering functions such as developing and managing systems level requirements, developing operational systems concepts, performing system architecture trade studies, originating design concepts or performing systems level integration and test for highly complex systems, and preparing and/or delivering basic customer and technical presentations.
  • Participate in independent design reviews, architecture review boards and other technical reviews
  • Develop Roadmaps
  • You will manage a small group of staff and hold a technical advisor role on our Tech Advisory Panel. In this role you will promote and help realize the Electronic Attack Capability Group objectives as you lead and build a High-Performance Systems Engineering team.
  • Recruit, retain, train, recognize, develop and assign team members as appropriate to meet business area needs
  • Communicate flow-down
  • Collect and provide performance feedback
  • Mentor careers by development of career and training plans
  • Ensure group members adhere to BAE Systems' cultural principals, policies and vision
  • Hold position in the EA capability groups Technical Advisory Board
  • Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time onsite. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

  • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Experience
  • Understanding of advanced antenna technologies and performance
  • Experience with systems engineering activities across the development cycle
  • In-depth understanding of radar signal processing techniques including Electronic Protection
  • EW system design knowledge as it relates to the detection and countering of radar and missile system engagements
  • Experience with offensive (stand-off/escort) and/or defensive (self-protection) EA systems
  • S in either Systems, Software, or Electrical Engineering
  • Understanding of antenna patterns, polarization, bandwidth, beamwidth
  • Hold position in the EA capability groups Technical Advisory Board
  • In this role you will promote and help realize the Electronic Attack Capability Group objectives as you lead and build a High-Performance Systems Engineering team
  • Team Leadership / Functional Manager Experience a plus

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years work experience or equivalent experience
  • Experience with offensive (stand-off/escort) and/or defensive (self-protection) EA systems.
  • EW system design knowledge as it relates to the detection and countering of radar and missile system engagements.
  • Understands EA/ESM systems architectures
  • Experience with systems engineering activities across the development cycle (analysis/decomposition/derivation/allocation of requirements, system modeling & simulation, system design & development, system integration & test).
  • Team Leadership / Functional Manager Experience a plus

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • M.S. in either Systems, Software, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Active United States Top Secret security clearance
  • Additional skills within the Electronic Attack (EA)/Electronic Warfare Support (ES) divisions of Electronic Warfare (EW) to include:
  • In-depth understanding of radar signal processing techniques including Electronic Protection (EP).
  • Understands radar operation and employment including cooperative engagements.
  • Understands digital signal processing concepts including FFT and DRFM.
  • Understanding of advanced antenna technologies and performance. Ability to model antenna impacts on received and transmitted signals. Understanding of antenna patterns, polarization, bandwidth, beamwidth etc.
  • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Experience

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $140690 - $239140

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
