Responsibilities

  • Clean and prepare surfaces for plaster application, ensuring they are free of dirt, grease, and other contaminants.
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the correct consistency and texture according to job specifications.
  • Apply base coats of plaster to surfaces, including walls and ceilings, to create a smooth foundation for finishing coats.
  • Use trowels and other tools to smooth and level the plaster, ensuring an even and professional finish.
  • Apply reinforcing materials, such as mesh or fiber, to strengthen plaster and prevent cracking.
  • Apply finishing coats of plaster to achieve desired texture and appearance, such as smooth, textured, or decorative finishes.
  • Patch and repair damaged plaster areas, including fixing cracks, holes, and imperfections.
  • Install and plaster over drywall to create a seamless finish between drywall and plastered surfaces.
  • Cover and protect floors, fixtures, and furniture to prevent damage from plaster splashes and spills.
  • Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine plastering requirements and application techniques.
  • Follow safety guidelines and wear protective gear, such as masks and gloves, to avoid exposure to harmful materials and dust.
  • Safely handle and transport plastering materials, including carrying and mixing heavy bags of plaster.
  • Inspect completed plaster work for quality and make adjustments as needed to meet standards and client expectations.
  • Communicate with clients to discuss project details, provide updates, and address any concerns or preferences related to plaster work.
  • Clean and maintain plastering tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition

Contract

39 hours per week

Candidate requirements

  • Quick learner
  • Able to do Multi Tasks
  • Relevant work experience is preferable
  • Work as a Plasterer for 2-3 years
