Responsibilities

  • Works with specific written or verbal instruction to receive and deliver US mail
  • Process and expedite incoming material delivered by external carriers and internal customers into mail tracking software
  • Maintain weekly mileage/inspection logs for the company vehicles
  • Drive company vehicle on scheduled inter-facility routes or special trips to pick up and deliver materials to various locations
  • Inspect, weigh, and affix labels to all USPS and FedEx outgoing packages
  • Report any issues to the Company garage
  • Keep a physical inventory of shipping supplies, reorder supplies if necessary
  • Receive, sort, and distribute all incoming/outgoing interoffice mail to appropriate mailstops
  • Operate company sorter, mailing machines and scales

Contract

24 hours per week

Job Description

  • This is a part time intern indirect position - 30hr a week
  • Works with specific written or verbal instruction to receive and deliver US mail
  • Process and expedite incoming material delivered by external carriers and internal customers into mail tracking software. Maintain and enter daily package counts.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute all incoming/outgoing interoffice mail to appropriate mailstops
  • Work with on-line database and/or written instructions to process all incomplete marked packages
  • Operate company sorter, mailing machines and scales
  • Process outgoing FedEx/USPS package through online software and supplied scale and printer
  • Inspect, weigh, and affix labels to all USPS and FedEx outgoing packages
  • Drive company vehicle on scheduled inter-facility routes or special trips to pick up and deliver materials to various locations
  • Maintain weekly mileage/inspection logs for the company vehicles. Report any issues to the Company garage. Maintenance to include but not limited to scheduling of oil changes and gas fill-ups
  • Keep a physical inventory of shipping supplies, reorder supplies if necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

High School diploma

Driver's License in good standing

Microsoft Suite proficient

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $36630 - $49500

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
