  • Experience installing and configuring VMware Esxi
  • Working knowledge of MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) specifically for preparing reports and presentations
  • Experience implementing applicable patches including IAVA's IAVB's and TA's for a network environment
  • Experience in understanding and writing technical document / specifications
  • Ability to develop and implement access control lists on routers, firewalls and other network devices
  • Ability to configure, optimize and test network severs, hubs, routers, switches, IP centric commercial and tactical radios to ensure they comply with current security policy, procedures and technical requirements

    Job Description

    The selected candidate will provide systems administration functions and technical support of various information technology devices integrated into data communications networks within transit cases and vehicles supporting the Department of Defense (DOD).

    Duties of the Systems Administrator will include managing a windows server 2008R2 network environment, adding and managing various devices and users, installing system wide software and hardware and configuring for optimal performance, gathering and analyzing logs and maintaining system configuration documentation for multiple systems. Will also apply DoD Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG's) to servers / workstations and remediate all OS / applications functionality in accordance with cyber security requirements.

    This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in St. Mary's County, near to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

    There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    High School diploma and at least six years of related experience

    Experience installing and configuring MS Server 2008R2 or higher

    Experience installing and configuring VMware Esxi

    Ability to configure, optimize and test network severs, hubs, routers, switches, IP centric commercial and tactical radios to ensure they comply with current security policy, procedures and technical requirements

    Ability to install, test, maintain and upgrade MS Windows 7 or higher operating systems software and associated networking hardware to comply with current Information Assurance requirements

    Experience implementing applicable patches including IAVA's IAVB's and TA's for a network environment

    Security + and / or Network + certifications

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    Associate or Bachelor's degree in an IT field of study

    MCSA certified in Windows Sever 2008R2

    CCNA certification

    Experience in understanding and writing technical document / specifications

    Ability to develop and implement access control lists on routers, firewalls and other network devices

    Working knowledge of MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) specifically for preparing reports and presentations

    Pay Information

    Full-Time Salary Range: $77809 - $132275

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
