Responsibilities

  • Assume a Contracts Leadership role in MS Leadership structure. This role may require the successful candidate to also assume an individual contributor role as needed to support the business.
  • Provide expertise and support to business strategy discussions including Organizational Conflicts of Interest considerations.
  • Develop and maintain effective cross functional relationships to ensure SBU program and business systems perform at optimal levels.
  • Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations and company policies.
  • Functional responsibilities include staffing, training, budget authority, development of the staff and succession planning.
  • Operational responsibilities include meeting all contractual obligations, execution of effective strategies to win and execute new and existing business.
  • Maintain compliance with all laws, regulations and company policies and business processes.

Contract

40 hours per week

Candidate requirements

  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience
  • May substitute for two years of experience
  • Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required
  • Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education
  • Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education
  • Experience with incentive and award fee contracts, cost reimbursement, fixed price, and T&M contracts and other transaction authority agreements
  • Demonstrated experience with all facets of pre-award planning/execution of multi-million-dollar acquisitions, teaming arrangements, Organizational Conflict of Interest identification and mitigation and non-disclosure agreements
  • Previous experience developing and implementing negotiation strategies with complex acquisitions
  • Experience with DoD, Intelligence Community, and major Aerospace primes/subs

Serve as a Manager III - Contracts in the BAE Systems, Inc. Space and Mission Systems Sector (SMS) Military Space (MS) Contracts Department. This key senior management position provides functional and operational support to the MS Strategic Business Units.

The successful candidate will have the skills and ability to assume a "hands-on" role in key strategic programs with experience in all aspects of contracting (pre-award, negotiations, post award administration, invoicing, and contract closeout) on an as needed basis and be responsible for developing and maintaining management level relationships with key customers.

The Finance Strategic Capabilities Unit delivers the expertise and business acumen to increase value across the enterprise by providing actionable information with recommendations and opportunities to drive sustainable business growth.

What You'll Do:

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in related field plus 12 or more years related experience.
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Previous leadership and supervision of personnel.
  • Microsoft (MS) Excel, Power Point, and other MS office applications proficiency.
  • A demonstrated background of legal, business, regulatory (FAR, DFARS), and programmatic aspects of federal government development and production contracts.
  • Experience with DoD, Intelligence Community, and major Aerospace primes/subs.
  • Broad experience in all aspects of Government Contract Management to include: RFP evaluation, proposal generation, Reps & Certs, negotiation strategies, PNMs, Contract Administration, close out, etc.
  • Experience with incentive and award fee contracts, cost reimbursement, fixed price, and T&M contracts and other transaction authority agreements.
  • Demonstrated experience with all facets of pre-award planning/execution of multi-million-dollar acquisitions, teaming arrangements, Organizational Conflict of Interest identification and mitigation and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Previous experience developing and implementing negotiation strategies with complex acquisitions.
  • Decisive with solid conflict resolution skills and able to adapt quickly in a changing business environment.

A security clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Active TS/SCI clearance preferred.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $128100.000 - $217800.000

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
